Ramsay Exchange

Community

Since the design process began in the fall of 2006, several meetings and discussions have occurred with the Ramsay Community Association and Ward Aldermen to solicit community input as the Ramsay Exchange conceptual plan evolved. Obtaining community feedback and understanding the development components valued most by local residents played an integral part in the approach to the design of Ramsay Exchange.

Organizations such as Calgary Economic Development, Calgary Arts Development, the Alberta College of Art, Calgary Heritage Initiative, The City of Calgary and other groups were also consulted and contributed to the design process.

A formal announcement of the project and a public open house on February 10, 2007 promoted further community awareness, solicited community input and comments and created broad public support for the project.
