After extensive review and negotiations with City Administration, Torode is very pleased with Planning Commission's support and unanimous approval of both the land use redesignation and the amendment to the Ramsay Area Redevelopment Plan. The application is scheduled to be reviewed by Council at the February 9, 2009 Public Hearing.

Torode welcomes Headplay + Conversion works to Ramsay Exchange, the first of a new set of tenants to occupy the now restored historic Dominion Bridge building.

Fall 2008
Plains Fabrication and Supply has begun relocating its operations with the vacation of the east wing of the Dominion Bridge in September 2008 and the west wing by March 2009. Operations will continue in the ‘Blue Whale’ until 2010.

Glenbow Museum and TORODE Give the Upside Down Church a Home in Calgary
Torode is excited to announce the installation of acclaimed international artist Dennis Oppenheim’s sculpture, Device to Root Out Evil. The sculpture will be installed on the west side of the Dominion Bridge building, an area that was recently transformed into a beautifully landscaped green area. This opportunity was made possible through a partnership with Glenbow Museum. Torode is pleased to welcome Caffe Rosso, a new tenant, to Ramsay Exchange. Described as Ramsay’s hidden gem by FFWD Magazine, Caffe Rosso is sure to please even the toughest coffee critic and also serves a variety of freshly baked goods. Caffe Rosso is open daily (6am-6pm weekdays and 8am-5pm weekends) and is tucked away off of 24th Avenue – watch for the red sandwich boards at the parking lot entrance.

The installation of over 150 new windows is officially underway in the Dominion Bridge building. Along the north elevation, the second level is first to receive the new windows.

Progress is well underway on the renovation of the historic Dominion Bridge building, with expected tenancy of local entertainment company, Headplay + Conversion Works, to occupy the space in the New Year.
